Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Now Rolling Out For Sprint's Moto X, Brings New Performance Improvements, Improved Phone Dialer App And Better Camera

More than two months after the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date was held, the newest version has already graced the operating systems of a number of Nexus devices, as well as some Google Play Editions of the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. Now, it's now the turn of Google-owned Motorola to have its flagship upgraded to KitKat.

In a report by Android Authority, the latest version of Android is now rolling out to all of Sprint's Moto X devices. As we have expected, the update brought on board similar improvements and features which also graced other devices which already have the latest Android version.

Some of updates included in the changelog include restyled status and notification bars, colored emoji emoticons, and better android app management tools. In addition, there are also improvements in the phone dialer app and camera departments. There is also a new Hangouts app version, and it can be made as your default SMS application.

Other notable features include a better gallery app and a new 'touch-less' function which only requires voice to launch certain apps and do certain tasks.

Motorola has indeed learned its lesson and is now making its move to keep the Moto X fresh compared to other flagships released this year. If you have received the update via OTA, you can tell us some comments about the new Android version on your device.
