Among the iPhone 6 rumors taking the Web by storm, recent reports claim that Apple may release two iPhones as well. 

While we certainly think that the iPhone 5c flopped, a report from BGR actually saw some benefits of the plastic-clad phone. In the report, people who were moving from Android and Windows Phone to iOS prompted for the cheaper 5c rather than the flagship 5s. 

However, this 'milestone' certainly does not make the iPhone 5c a good move on the part of Apple as reports show that the company has stopped its production due to over-supply. 

On the other hand, releasing two handsets next year will see Apple contending not just for high-end devices but in the midrange level as well. But we think what would be crucial during the launch is the pricetag it will offer for the lower-spec'd one. 

For sure, a lot of Apple consumers would not be happy that their beloved and expensive iPhone flagship has a cheaper alternative, but this would be the right move for the Cupertino manufacturer if it wants to target the mass market once more. 

With a recent patent for curved displays awarded to Apple in the US, we can imagine the iPhone 6 to sport the curved or even flexible display, while the cheaper model would get the usual Retina display. 

It is only a few more weeks before 2014 kicks in, and we will surely have an exciting year for the smartphone and tablet industries.
