3 Questions Japanese Fans to Ask Hallyu Stars

Many Korea stars have created a boom in Japan as many have advanced into Japan market. Korea and Japan seem to be close but distant country although have similar broadcast format the topics of discussion are different. There were 3 questions that have been selected that is asked the most in entertainment program.

1. What are you into these days?

The literal translation would be ‘what are you into’ or ‘what is my boom’ to paraphrase it can be interpreted as ‘what is your hobby.’ This is a very popular question as Japanese artists are reluctant to share their private life to the public. It is also a frequent question that is asked to the Korean celebrities as well.

TVXQ member Changmin shared in a recent Japanese program, “I used to drink coffee outside but now I am having fun making my own coffee at home.” Also Yunho said, “I am into taking photos as I feel it’s a good reminder of beautiful memories over time.”

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung who appeared on Japanese music program ‘Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ’ explained, “Sooyoung who is into screaming machine (referring to the scream while riding roller coaster rides). Girls’ Generation is into croissant filled with chocolate.”

SHINee while appearing in TV Asahi ‘Music Station’ Onew said, “I am into pun these days,” Jonghyun said, “I am into watching Japanese animation and at the same time can study Japanese,” Key shared, “I like to watch variety shows such as ‘London Hearts.’”

2. What is the recent Japanese word you learned?

BoA who greeted her 11th anniversary debut has become very skilled in Japanese being to communicate freely with Japanese hosts. This is the same for TVXQ under SM Entertainment same as BoA. It is probably interesting to see a foreigner to speak Japanese freely. There are many questions that are asked to the hallyu stars that are entering the Japanese markets as the method of studying Japanese and how long they have studied.

IU who has announced her debut in Japan beginning of 2012 is still poor in Japanese. She still needs a translator but can make small talk. She shared “I study Japanese an hour and half every day.” Also Jung Yong Hwa in ‘Hey! Hey! Hey!’ shared, “The most recent Japanese world I learned tumble down.” Lee Jung Shin shared, “I heard this from Japanese staff. ‘Are you free now?’ and ‘Want to drink tea?’”

INFINITE also shared that “We have been studying Japanese to enter Japan.”

Rainbow’s Jae Kyung also shared through ‘Sakigake! Ongaku’ that “I really like Japanese drama a lot. I have watched many of them ‘Boys Over Flowers,’ ‘Mei-chan’s Butler,’ and studied Japanese at the same time.”

3. What is your ideal type?

Korea or Japan all fans are interested to know the star’s ideal type. The host of the programs asks the question ‘What is your ideal type?’ portraying the heart of fans.

Changmin shared in a TV program, “I like someone who cooks well. It’s because I really like to eat. I like someone who can drink alcohol better than someone who doesn’t. But I think I will probably worry as I cannot stay with that person.” Yunho added, “I like someone who gentle such as dusting off my clothes kindly. I don’t like someone who has a big mouth. It’s ok to talk a lot but shouldn’t bad mouth others.”

IU also shared, “I would like someone who is only nice to me. Someone who I wouldn’t be anxious to leave with other girls.” KARA’s Hang Seungyeon also stated, “I would like someone who will treat me like a baby.”
