Lumia 2520 Review: Nokia's First Take On A Windows Tablet, Does It Deliver?

If you are looking for Lumia 2520 reviews of Nokia's freshest tablet, then you have come to the right place. Here we will nibble at the slate's strong and weak points and find out if it is worth getting this coming holiday season.

Design

At a glance, the Lumia 2520 looks like a bloated Lumia phone, and that's not a bad thing as Nokia's Lumia lineup has one of the most gorgeous designs we have ever seen in a smartphone. Made up of solid polycarbonate casing, this slate is one of the best-looking among available tablets today. While the back casing is a fingerprint magnet, it still provides that elegant look to the tablet.

Performance

In case you haven't checked the spec sheet of the Lumia 2520, it boasts some of the industry's best hardware. The tablet packs a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, and 2GB of RAM. While you would not be able to enjoy the full Windows experience as the Lumia 2520 comes with Windows RT out of the box, it more than makes up for it with fantastic performance. The 6.7MP camera may not be a head-turner, but as far as targets are concerned, the Nokia tablet's primary camera is among the finest.

Battery Life

Most of tablet owners have problems when it comes to battery life. Fortunately, the Nokia Lumia 2520 packs a huge 8,120mAh battery and sometimes it makes you wonder how in the world was the company able to squeeze it in such a tiny frame. With brightness levels of 80% with moderate use, the Nokia slate is able to last for a few days. So if it's impressive battery life that sells for you, then getting this tablet is a no-brainer.

Verdict

The Nokia Lumia 2520 is absolutely at the top of its game, but unfortunately it only has the Surface 2 as competition in its OS department. Across platforms, the limited availability of applications from the Windows Store may turn down some prospective buyers, but if you prefer performance, style and lots of battery, then it is difficult not to give this slate a try.
