HTC One 2 M8 Release Date Is Near As Upcoming Droid Passes Wi-Fi Certification Evaluation

Rumors surrounding a possible HTC One 2 M8 release date have been circulating all over the Web with few proofs. But in a recent report by GottaBeMobile, the upcoming successor to the One was allegeldy spotted in a Wi-Fi certification evaluation in the US. 

According to the report, the alleged HTC One 2 model passed the certification, which places it one step closer to launch. A court judge even mentioned in a statement that the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning to launch a new device early next year. 

For the past few months, there have been rumored specs and features surrounding the HTC One successor. Most reports claim it will feature the same aluminum covered design, a bigger screen with 1920 x 1200p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 or 805 chipset, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and Android KitKat out of the box. 

Other rumored features include a fingerprint scanner which is identical to that of the One max. However, exact placement of the scanner hasn't been rumored yet.
