Sidh Tech noted, as cited by Examiner, the recent discount made for Nexus 7 2 could mean that Nexus 2 release date is just around the corner. Usually, offering devices for a lower price and holding sales promos mean that a new item is about to arrive on the shelves.

According to a post on International Business times, Office Depot is now offering Asus-built Nexus 10 2 with the lowest price markdown. The 16 GB device is only available for $180 and will also get a $20 gift card. On the other hand, the 32 GB gets a 40-dollar discount. This promo from Office Depot is until December 21.

With this price drop for Nexus 7 2, many believe that Nexus 10 2 release date may still happen this year. But since 2013 is already about to end and Google is not making any hints yet regarding the arrival of the device, think that the next-gen tablet may most likely arrive in the market early next year.

Particularly, rumors about Nexus 10 2 release date suggest that the Android tablet might arrive during the upcoming tech show, the Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2014. The event is set to begin on January 7.
