'The Fosters' Spoiler Alert: 'Glee' Star Joins ABC Drama Series; Returns To The Screen On January 13!

'Glee' star Romy Rosemont will make her debut in the ABC drama series "The Fosters" when the show returns to the screen.

Rosemont played Carole Hudson-Hummel, the mother of Finn Hudson in 'Glee' since the first episode. Her story arc ended with the death of his son, played by Corey Monteith who died from a cocktail of heroin and champagne in July this year.

Rosemont's last episode "The Quarterback" was a tribute to the 31-year-old actor. Critics and fans alike raved about her performance as the grieving mother.

According to E! Online, Rosemont will debut on March 3 and she will play Amanda who was described as "quicky and somethings challenging" mom to Mariana's (Cierra Ramirez) friend Zac, who will be played by Julian De La Celle. It's not clear whether Mariana and Julian will develop a romantic relationship.

While she won't be a regular cast member of the 'The Fosters', Rosemont will "be a recurring guest star," E! Online added.

The ABC drama series will resume airing on Monday, Jan. 13. It is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez.

'The Fosters' is a drama series that tells of the travails and experiences of a multi-ethnic family of both foster and biological children being raised by two mothers, Lena Adams (Sherri Saum) and Stef Foster (Teri Polo). It premiered on June 3, 2013.

In the latest episode, Callie (Maia Mitchell) kissed her foster sibling Brandon (David Lambert) before rushing out of the wedding of the season. To the surprise of nobody, Callie also did what she does best--run away from her problems.

The last episode raised a number of important questions: How does Brandon feel about Callie leaving? Will Jude, played by Hayden Byerly, be able to live with his foster family now that his sister is out of the picture? These are just some of the questions that will be answered in the coming episodes.
