Gordon Ramsay’s ‘MasterChef Junior' Returns For Season 2! Fox Asks For Another Heaping Serving Of Talented Young Cooks

Another serving of Gordon Ramsay's 'MasterChef Junior' looks very appetizing that Fox Network wants seconds as it has signed the show to once again look for talented young cooks for season 2.

The Michelin chef will bring MasterChef Junior back to the network after agreeing to the terms. The show will join Ramsay's impressive list of shows in Fox such as the MasterChef, Hotel Hell, Hell's Kitchen, and Kitchen nightmares.

The shows are produced under Ramsay's outfit, One Potato Two Potato.

The first season of MasterChef Junior was among Fox's most watched shows. Its Friday slot has an average of 5.1 million viewers with a rating of 1.4 among adults in the 18-49 range. The numbers doubled, however, when it comes to DVR rating as the rating increased to 2.1 in the key demo.

Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said that MasterChef Junior is one of the few shows not just in network's roster that the entire family can watch together.

"I can't wait to see what Gordon, Joe, Graham and the next round of rambunctious, ridiculously talented junior chefs cook up in season two," he told Hollywood Reporter on Thursday after making the announcement for the show's return.

Gordon Ramsay signed the contract with the network this summer which gives the network exclusive rights to air his programming until 2015.

The show was based on the U.K. format which gives aspiring cooks the opportunity to showcase their skills through a series of challenges and cook-offs. Similar to its parent show, MasterChef, Ramsay will be joined by Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich, a restaurateur and winemaker.

While viewers are apprehensive about how Gordon Ramsay's penchant to curse can have an effect on the kids, the award-winning chef was surprisingly doting and patient.

Alexander Weiss won season 1 of MasterChef Junior and came home with a $100,000 bounty as well as the coveted MasterChef Junior trophy. Casting calls for kids between 8 and 13 will kick off in Chicago and New York on Jan. 18.
