There aren't much updates regarding upcoming Android tablets in 2014 compared to phones, but Samsung reportedly plans to make things happen next year. 

According to a report from Android Authority, the Korean manufacturer is working on two kinds of tablets with different dimensions. The rumor points to an 8-inch and a 10-inch variant of the Android tablet. 

However, what caught our attention isn't the dimensions, but the reported AMOLED display which would sport both devices. In the past, Samsung has manufactured tablets with its famed AMOLED screen, but it was not mainstream technology for slates at that time, so the manufacturer decided to scrap it off from succeeding tablets. 

Now that the Korean manufacturer is owning the Android phone and tablet niches, it wants to develop a tablet that is equipped with such a display. In fact, Samsung may already be making its final touches for the 10.5" device. According to Korean tech site ET News, the slate could be launched as soon as January next year. 

While the rumor did not specifically mention the Consumer Electronics Show in January or the Mobile World Congress in February, we are all hoping this AMOLED-powered tablet would make its way within that particular period.
