Upcoming Android Phones 2013: CyanogenMod-Powered Oppo N1 Given A Go Signal By Google, Hits Stores On December 24

In case you are still searching for upcoming Android phones in 2013, then Oppo will not disappoint with the release of its N1 smartphone.

Now, a recent report says that the handset's CyanogenMod version has earned the approval of Google to access its Play Store. This means the Oppo N1 CyanogenMod version will be able to connect to the online store where users can download apps and games just like a normal Android device.

According to GSM Arena, Google has approved the first CyanogenMod-powered phone to access its apps and services in the Play Store. Ever since, the CyanogenMod only sideloaded apps such as Maps, Gmail and Google Now just to bring the Android feel to its fans.

CyanogenMod is certainly very happy with the development, and it has recently announced that it will launch the Oppo N1 running on CyanogenMod on December 24 - a perfect gift this Christmas for fans of this platform.

In case you have haven't heard about the Oppo N1, it sports decent specs which can be compared to most flagships released this year. But what separates it from the pack is the rotating camera which could capture both front and rear view shots.
