"The Legend of Korra" may be on hiatus, but co-creator Bryan Konietzko is celebrating the upcoming New Year with the first image of Book 3, titled "Change."

"It's all about Korra dealing with the change of the world in this point in time. At the end of Book 2 she says it's a new era. And it really is and we're going to show how Harmonic Convergence and her battle with Unalaq and Vaatu kind of shifted the world a bit," said "The Legend of Korra" co-creator Michael DiMartino to the WSJ.

And recently, co-creator Bryan Konietzko shared with fans the first official image from "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 featuring Lin Beifong.

"Howdy, friends. I haven't posted in a while as I've been buried under deadlines as well as under the weather. We are all really excited with how Book 3 is turning out. As promised, it features a lot more Lin Beifong than Book 2, so I thought I'd share a cool screen shot of her. OK, I'm going to crawl back underneath my deadlines and cough," wrote Konietzko on his Tumblr.

Several months back at a "Legend of Korra" art book signing and Q&A panel, a fan asked about Lin Beifong's presence in Book 2, and some were disappointed with the answer.

"Lin's Dad is just a mystery to me," teased Michael DiMartino regarding the identity of Lin's father and Toph's supposed lover. "We've got great stuff planned for Lin and her family. It's not right away, so don't be mad if it doesn't happen right away."

"Book 2, for the Lin fans...she's not very heavily featured in Book 2, BUT, very heavily featured in Book 3," continued Bryan Konietzko.

With this sneak peek photo of Book 3, it looks like "The Legend of Korra" team is keeping their word and will no doubt satisfy Lin Beifong fans everywhere!
