Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumors: No Metal Case And Premium Build For Upcoming Flagship, Claims New Rumor

Recently, a number of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors are claiming that the Korean manufacturer's upcoming flagship would have a metal-clad frame. Both critics and fans of the company commended the rumor, stating that Samsung has finally decided to provide premium-looking phones to the market.

Unfortunately, the phone's rumored metal body may not see the light of day according to reputable leaker Sam Mobile. In a report by Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, Samsung may still opt for the old and hated plastic casing for their upcoming flagship.

Instead, the company might "adopt chassis featuring compound materials such as fiberglass/plastic or carbon fiber/plastic for its smartphones instead of a single materials to help save costs."

Before you make any violent reactions, the perfect question here is 'why?'

Well, according to the report, Samsung does not have enough financing for the metal casing, which is a pretty lame excuse for a multi-billion company.

In a more reliable angle, the report says there are no suppliers yet who are developing metal cases in mass production, which would be a problem for Samsung if it plans to launch the device in Q1 of next year.

While this development is definitely a hard blow for both Samsung and Android fans, we can still hope that the Korean manufacturer would heed the call of consumers and deliver the best design for their upcoming Galaxy S5.

On the brighter side, other Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors include water and dust resistance, a 64-bit chip, and even an iris scanner.
