'Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: Who Is the Villain Now That the Governor Is Gone? Robert Kirkman Spills on Negan, Says Nothing About Abraham; Predictions of Our Own

'Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: It is very hard not to make predictions on what's coming up on "The Walking Dead" based on the comics. It's also almost impossible to do it using the comics. Characters die out of sequence, characters live past their expiration date. In the Walking Dead comic book series, Dale is still alive. He's only gone on TV because of loyalty to Frank Darabont.

In the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead's season 4, we lost the Governor. Michonne chopped at him. Lilly shot him. It was almost like a Jodi Arias movie on Lifetime. We also lost Hershel, the moral center. I think when The Walking Dead comes back, we'll have a new number two for Rick Grimes, a guy named Abraham. In the comic he lost his wife and two daughters to the zombies. He's an ex-army guy from Texas.

But that's the good guy. What about the bad guy? What's going to take the place of the Governor's eye-patch?

Robert Kirkman, the creator of "The Walking Dead" recently gave some hints, or non-hints, when he talked with Entertainment Weekly. In the comics, the next big bad breather to hit the scene is a guy named Negan. He's in charge of a group of survivors who call themselves the Saviors. But don't expect them to turn any cheeks. Negan's got a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and the mouth of a sailor. I'm not saying Negan isn't giving any love. He's got one love in his life. Lucille. Yeah, that was the name of B.B. King's guitar and he loved that axe. Negan loves Lucille. Did I mention that Lucille is the name of his baseball bat?

The Governor dies in issue 48 of the comic and Negan doesn't show up until issue 100, so he probably won't show up until Walking Dead's season 5.

Walking Dead's creator Robert Kirkman said "Well, there was a lot of breathing room in the comics between them. Whether or not we have the same amount of breathing room, or if we do cut that down a little bit and bring him into the show a little early remains to be seen. But I definitely do think there needs to be some kind of space from a Governor into a Negan. You have to have something of a break in there. So I wouldn't expect him to be showing up - definitely not in season 4. I don't know. I wouldn't expect it too soon. But we are all very excited about the prospect of bringing that guy into the show. The plan is that we will see him eventually."

So, he's on his way. But he's taking his time.
