Amanda Bynes was spotted wearing new long blonde hair similar to the blonde curly-haired wig she wore before entering rehabilitation while shopping in Los Angeles on Sunday, leaving many wondering if it symbolizes a setback in her mental illness treatment since she revisited her old look.

The troubled former actress, however, looked much healthier when spotted with new blonde locks that looked like her actual hair, UsMagazine.com reports.

She was released form rehabilitation earlier this month after her mental illness reached a peak four months ago - she was caught setting a fire in a residential driveway in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

 "I am doing very well,' she told InTouch upon her release. "I'm doing great."

Amanda Bynes' parents have not made public statements regarding her daughter's recovery, her mother's lawyer Tamar Arminak told the New York Daily News she is making a lot of progress.

"She's made great strides in her progress, and everyone felt it was time," Arminak said earlier this month.

"She's planning on attending school in the spring and is hoping to major in fashion design," Arminak added. "It would be a school close to home in California. ... She's living with her parents for the foreseeable future and plans on staying close to home during the holidays.
