Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes reportedly took a break away from each other after feeling that they were "moving too fast". The Hollywood couple allegedly decided to separate for an indefinite time.

"There was a realisation before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed. They've decided to take a break to re-evaluate their romance," claims one insider about Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' break-up.

According to another source, the 39-year-old actress already wants to have babies with the 33-year-old actor. However, Gosling does not seem to be enthusiastic with the idea of such big responsibility. This appears to be one of the reasons which threatened the engagement.

Will they be separating for good? The 'Girl in Progress' actress is one of the stars in 'How to Catch a Monster', Gosling's directorial debut scheduled for release in 2014. This project can either make them closer or can make things more awkward.

"The real question is how Eva is going to figure into Ryan's plans. They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part. At the end of the day they are both so uncertain about their future," adds the insider.

Earlier this year, rumors about Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes' break-up have circulated. Mendes is reportedly jealous with how girls flock to her partner. Rachel McAdams has been linked as well to the rumored break-up. She is Gosling's 'The Notebook' co-star and former girlfriend.
