GTA 5 PC Release Date Announced December 24, Launches March 12, New Speculation Suggests

Rockstar Games will announce the release date for Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version on December 24 and will formally launch the game on March 12, 2014, new speculation suggests.

The news is based on an Amazon support screenshot obtained by a German gaming website, Spieletipps, the International Business Times reports.

The message read as follows: "Welcome to Amazon Chat. My name is Fatima [...]. According to our informations, GTA V PC will be announced on 12/24 and according to our source, it will be released in the USA on 03/12 and here on 03/14."

The Norwegian website that listed pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version slated for March 18, 2014 has pulled their advertisements, Product-Reviews.net reports, leaving fans wondering if the rumor was false.

"We've already seen hints of its release when a Norwegian website had the GTA V forPC pre-order, which stated a March 18, 2014 release. However, it wasn't long before the listing was pulled," the website writes.

"This is not an admittance that the PC version is coming, but it does imply that they are planning some sort of announcement."

GTA 5 on Xbox 360 was the most played game based on gameplay hours in the 30 days after launch, VG247.com reports, leaving many fans wondering if the same accomplishment cane be made with the game's PC release date version.
