Keanu Reeves Slams the Door on Point Break Remake; `Absolutely Not’

Keanu Reeves new movie will not be a "Point Break" remake. The hit movie starring Reeves and the late Patrick Swayze flew high at the box office years ago, but a remake will not get off the ground with Keanu.

Keanu Reeves says he definitely won't be back for that "Point Break" remake. No matter how exciting it might seem on the surface.

Keanu Reeves is riding high on his new blockbuster, "47 Ronin," which takes the Japanese legend into fantastic new heights. But Reeves won't glide into just any high-paying gig.

Warner Bros. and Alcom Entertainment want to remake the surfboard and skydiving crime drama "Point Break." The original was directed by Kathryn Bigelow.

Speaking to the BBC, the former star of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure slammed the door on any speculation he might surf out of another plane. Reeves said "Absolutely not. It's not my place." Keanu tried to give a little encouragement to the producers, just as long as they leave him out of it. Reeves said "sounds very exciting - but is it a good thing? I don't know. If they can find a way to do it that works out good. Then God bless them."

Rumors are saying that the new reboot of "Point Break" will be directed by Ericson Core, who helmed "Invincible." The screenplay was written by Kurt Wimmer, who the remake of "Total Recall."

So what about Keanu reteaming with Alex Winter for another Bill and Ted sequel? Keanu said "It's still in the dream. There's a script and we're trying to make it. So we'll see."
