Hannibal Season 2 Update: New Will Graham Photo Released, Will He Remain Locked In Prison In Show’s Second Season?

The cannibalistic affair between Hugh Dancy's Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal Lecter in NBC's Hannibal is set to resume by February 28, 2014 and as a treat to its fans, the show has released new photos of its lead stars.

Hannibal producers released five new character posters. Will Graham, the gifted criminal profiler and hunter of serial killers, is donning a prison suit while Dr. Lecter, the show's main antagonist, is seen wearing a neat and fancy suit just like in season one. Fans were not surprised that Graham will be wearing an asylum jumpsuit since at the end of the first season, he ended up in a jail because he was wrongfully accused of the murder of Abigail Hobbs. What made fans got really excited is another teaser photo that features Will in his normal attire, making them assume that the lead character will somehow get out of prison. Other characters featured in teaser photos are Caroline Dhavernas 's Dr. Alana Bloom and Laurence Fishburne's Special Agent-in-Charge Jack Crawford.

The second season will parade 13 episodes and according to series creator Bryan Fuller, the show will take a very different direction, a status quo.

Speaking to Crave Online, Fuller said that they will strike into a new territory for the show.

"We had to really shake up the world because we had the slow boil in the first season of, will they realize that Hannibal Lecter is who is he is? Of course the only character who does realize is quickly discredited. So that game begins anew in Season 2, but under a completely different paradigm where you have Will institutionalized, Hannibal free, no one believing Will because he very clearly lost his mind and lost time, and so is an unreliable narrator in his own story. There's a very exciting dynamic, Hitchcockian, in The Man Who Knew Too Much," he said.

The screenwriter and producer also known for pioneering Pushing Daisies also expressed his disappointment for failing to add Clarice Starling in the main cast. Starling is the protagonist of the novels The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal film to which the TV series was based.
