Manchester United will face off against rival Hull City on Thursday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Manchester United, coming out of a 3-1 victory over West Ham United, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Manchester United Manager David Moyes said he may recall Nick Powell and Jesse Lingard from loan, according to The Telegraph.

"We will try in January. I am quite actively looking at our own boys. The likes of Jesse Lingard, Nick Powell and Ryan Tunnicliffe," he said, according to the site.

"They are the future. They are part of the club. They have been in the system. We hope they might be able to come back and help if we need it in January."

Hull City, coming out of a 1-1 tie with West Brom, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Hull City Manager Steve Bruce said it is ridiculous to sack managers following his side's 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, according to The Telegraph.

"You look at the fall out [of a few bad results] and it's ridiculous. It's highlighted in the Premier League, but there are lads in the lower league trying to earn their crust and learn their trade. I think the average [term of a manager at a club] is less than 12 months. It's very, very difficult," he said, according to the site.

"You feel for Steve. In management you're going to have a tough time sooner or later. And that's when you need the backing of your employer to say: 'Well he was a good manager last year, what's changed?'"
