It seems Angelina Jolie and her friendship has taken quite a bit of liking to up and coming actress Elle Fanning, her co-star in the latest Disney film "Maleficent."

While there are some still not familiar with the 15-year-old actress, the younger sibling of the more famous Dakota Fanning. The older sister who, although still 19 years old, is already a veteran of 51 films credited to her name including "War of the Worlds" and "Man on Fire."

According to Radar Online, the "Tomb Raider" star is taking Elle under her wing and showing her the ropes.

It's a good thing, too, since both Elle and Dakota seems to be growing apart as her big sister is apparently already "bored" with Hollywood and prefers to stay in her own home in New York while pursuing other interests. Thus, fuelling rumors that Elle Fanning might be turning her back on Hollywood.

"Dakota is living off of the fortune she made as a child actor, instead of chasing after every big job under the sun," Radar Online quoted a source as saying.

"Elle is the more ambitious one. Dakota is the one who could quit acting to start a band at the drop of a hat. Dakota is completely unimpressed with the red carpet culture in Hollywood, while Elle totally worships it," the online entertainment website added.

The last time Dakota and Elle worked together was for an ad campaign for J. Estina's Brilliant Princess. During their interviews for the ad, they gushed about how they were having a blast working together.

With the way things are going, don't expect Elle Fanning to be the less famous of the sisters much longer as she is set to film four big projects next year, including the animated film "The Boxtrolls."

Dakota Fanning, meanwhile, just finished filming "The Last of Robin Hood," which chronicles the life of Errol Flynn. She has also concluded "Effie Gray," a story about Victorian art critic John Ruskin and his teen bride.
