'22 Jump Street' Spoiler : Brad Pitt’s Steals Show From Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill? Plays Himself And Does Comedic Banter

When you are working with an A-lister with a ton of charisma like Brad Pitt, be prepared to be overshadowed even if your as good looking as Channing Tatum or as funny as Jonah Hill.

RadarOnline.com reported that Brad will appear in a cameo role as an underpaid librarian in the "22 Jump Street," the sequel to the 2012 movie "21 Jump Street" starring Channing as Greg Jenko and Jonah as Morton Schmidt.

"The scene is very funny and the guys had a great time doing it. Brad was a great sport and the producers were thrilled that he took part," the source cited by Radar said.

Apparently, the 50-year-old "Fight Club" star agreed to do the cameo on the request of Jonah Hill. The two sparked a friendship when they worked on the critically acclaimed 2011 film "Moneyball."

The first film had Channing and Jonah playing two luckless undercover cops tasked with investigating a designer drug connected to the death of a high schooler. Although their personalities clashed, they discovered that they are stronger together rather than apart.

Although the plot was formulaic, the film nevertheless grossed around $200 million which prompted the sequel.

In the sequel "22 Jump Street", Brad Pitt will have a chance to engage in a lively banter with Channing and Jonah, who are now undercover as college students in a university.

This time, the always cool Jenko is joining the college football team, while Schmidt is still trying to get a ticket to the "cool" kids.

The two films are based on the 80s TV hit series "21 Jump Street" which chronicles the exploits of an undercover police unit that is specializing in crimes involving youth. While generally receiving very good reviews, the series was more significant in the way it launched the career of Johnny Depp as a leading man.

The film "22 Jump Street" is set to be released in June 2014.
