Justin Bieber Retiring From Singing After ‘Believe’ Fails At Box Offices? ‘Heartbreaker’ Singer’s Film Comes In 14th Place On Opening Day

Justin Bieber's "Believe" film came in 14th place at movie theaters when it opened on Christmas Day, MTV reports, leaving many fans wondering if it could have played a role in his announcement that he is retiring from singing.

The film played at 1,037 locations across the country and raked in a mere $1.25 million, a low profit compared to the $12.4 million he made from his 2011 "Never Say Never" film.

But there is evidence that the teen heartthrob may not be retiring.

Justin Bieber told his fans on Twitter "I'm never leaving you," leaving many beliebers wondering if his post about retiring from singing was a prank.

"The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle," the teen heartthrob wrote almost an hour after announcing his retirement.

When he announced on Twitter on Christmas Eve that he is retiring from singing, he left many fans wondering if his break up with Selena Gomez was to blame.

The "Heartbreaker" singer has been the focus of negative attention following his split with his ex-girlfriend, being accused of having sexual encounters with prostitutes in Brazil and ordering his bodyguards to attack photojournalists hungry for a story.

However, some believe the retirement announcement was a hoax.

"It is all for show," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He is going to take some time off, but retiring is an impossibility."
