'The Fault In Our Stars' Movie Tagline Displeases Lead Actress Shailene Woodley? 'Not Something I Would Have Chosen,' Says Teen Star

In her recent interview, Shailene Woodley appears to be unsatisfied with 'The Fault in Our Stars' movie tagline. Woodley, who plays the movie's lead actress, expressed her feelings for the controversial tagline. In the newly released 'The Fault in Our Stars' movie poster, the tagline "one sick love story" aspires to encapsulate the love story of two teenagers diagnosed with cancer.

"I had a really strong response to it. It's definitely, it's not a tagline that I probably would have chosen by any means. But I think that there's so many people who are so passionate about this book that there's nothing that will ever satisfy everyone. So I think it was just up to the discretion of the marketing mavens," says the teen star to Entertainment Weekly.

Given the opportunity to change the tagline, will she do it?

"For me, it was not something I would have chosen. But it seems like half the people love it and half the people don't like it," adds the 22-year-old actress. Although she expressed her feelings for the tagline, Woodley did not offer an alternative for 'The Fault in Our Stars' movie poster.

While Woodley as well as the novel's fans have mixed feelings, author John Green loves how the tagline hints that even people with illnesses have the right to love and be loved in return: "I like the tagline because it says, literally, the sick can also have love stories. Love and joy and romance are not just things reserved for the well."

Woodley will be playing the role of Hazel Grace in the film wherein she will be paired with Ansel Elgort's character, Augustus.

'The Fault in Our Stars' will be released on June 6, 2014. Apart from the drama film, both Woodley and Elgort likewise have major roles in Veronica Roth's novel-turned-movie 'Divergent' which will hit cinema screens on March 21, 2014.
