Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: 'Lite' Version Of Galaxy Note 3 Rumored To Launch By March, Boasts Similar Design With Reduced Performance

There are already a number of exciting upcoming Samsung phones in 2014 to watch for, including the rumored Galaxy S5 and the more powerful Galaxy Note 4. But before it releases new flagships, the Korean manufacturer goes back to its previous strategy - releasing more affordable variations of its flagships for the mass market.

If you have wanted to get the Galaxy Note 3 but are in short of cash, then a version with a slightly lower set of specifications might fit the bill.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite has already been rumored for quite some time, but now another report claims its release date could fall within March or the end of Q1 2014.

According to trusted leaker SamMobile via Twitter, the 5.5 or 5.7-incher phone could be released by the end of the first quarter of next year. But instead of an AMOLED display, the Galaxy Note 3 Lite may just settle for an LCD which is reported to be tested already. It would also have LTE support.

Dubbed as model N7505, the Note 3 Lite will most likely sport features which are similar to Samsung's Galaxy Mini phones. A report from GSM Arena also says that the 'Lite' lineup could most likely replace the 'Mini' versions of flagship phones due to consumer demand for larger screens.

Let us just hope the rumor is true regarding the Galaxy Note 3 Lite.
