Agreeing to what LeBron said, Kings head coach Mike Malone clearly looks at DeMarcus as their franchise player that would bring the team on his shoulders and can possibly give the franchise the big prize in the future.

"Obviously, DeMarcus [Cousins] is, you know, he's going to be our starting center. But after that, you know, we have to find a group that is willing to compete and play at a high level every minute they are on the floor and we can't have guys, if you miss a shot or you make a mistake, hang your head and not make up for it on the other end."

Following a win from the Heat is a tough defeat from another top team but from the West, San Antonio Spurs.

“I can’t even be mad about this loss because we really had a chance to win this game,” Cousins said. “We did a lot of good things. It was just some minor things that really helped seal the game.”

The Kings were down 108-102 with less than a few minutes remaining, failed to make a run as they made errors late in the game where they could possibly make the game close as they did in the third quarter.

“Yeah, because we had a chance to beat a really good team,” Cousins said. “Even with that being said, we had a great effort. It was just the fact that we had a chance to beat a really good team on their home court, and it was just breakdowns and some minor things at the end that helped them win the game. That would probably be the reason why.”

“I believe we kind of got into a panic and we didn’t execute our stuff well,” Cousins said. “Defensively, we broke down a lot.”
