Apple Vs. Samsung: Korean News Site Reports The 2 Tech Giants Are Now Working To End The War

The Apple vs. Samsung rivalry began several years ago, and since then it has been war both in and out of court. But as Apple recently won a retrial in November which cost huge amounts of money, Samsung could now be thinking of ending the war, at least for now.

In a report by site Korea Times, an official from the Korea Fair Trade Commission said Apple and Samsung are currently in the 'working level' stage of coming into an agreement where the Korean manufacturer would agree to royalties demanded by the Cupertino giant for every Samsung device that violates Apple's patents.

While this is certainly promising for both parties, we may not want to count on it. Last year, the two companies also tried to work it out and come into some kind of agreement. However, Android Authority reports that after 17 hours of negotiations and talks, neither parties got what they want - and so the battle continued.

This time around, it is Samsung that may need the agreement more than Apple. But as some analysts and consumers are pointing out, Apple also needs to win these patent wars in order to boost their income throughout the year.

Whether both parties would agree to something or not is still unknown at this point. Stay tuned for more details.
