In the past few weeks, iPad Pro rumors have been raining down and filling the rumor mill. And as 2014 approaches, we count down the top five rumors we love about the alleged iPad Pro, or Max as what other bloggers prefer. 

5. 12.9-inch screen

The very first rumors we have read about the larger iPad is the 12.9" display. It may be the first in its category (in case Samsung does not release its own ahead of Apple), but Apple is well known for making seemingly odd devices hip. The tablet's 12.9-inch screen is surely something worth looking at, especially for consumers who prefer video watching and gaming. 

4. Would replace MacBook Airs

The MacBook Air is one of the finest pieces of technology that Apple has developed in the past several years. But considering the sheer size of the iPad Pro, some reports claim that it would replace MacBook Airs in the ultra-portable category. While a detachable flip keyboard will allegedly be the iPad Pro's companion, performance will be crucial here if this is indeed its purpose.

3. No more Retina

While the current iPads look stunning, they still fell short in terms of resolution compared to other (much cheaper) tablets like Amazon's Kindle Fire HDX. That is why rumors are pointing to Retina-less iPads come next year. Instead, these devices will pack more resolutions.

2. 2K and 4K resolutions

As what we have been saying, rumors are suggesting that Apple would ditch Retina in favor of ultra high definition screens (UHD). Reports from several tech blogs claim that the Cupertino company would release two different variations of the iPad Pro. 

1. Two release dates

Having two release dates for two different iPads is nothing new for Apple, but if these dates are almost half a year apart, then that's news. According to rumors, Apple may release the 2K resolution edition of the iPad Pro some time in May, and the 4K version of the tablet some time in October.

Well, these are just some of the rumors we have listed down over the past few weeks. This list will certainly change as the alleged iPad Pro release draws near. But just like other rumors, let us all take these alleged truths with a grain of salt.
