Khloe Kardashian and Matt Kemp obviously have feelings for each other but their romance might not happen because of one thing: her celebrity status.

HollywoodLife.com reported that Matt is a private person and he's concerned about getting too caught up with the drama of Hollywood if he pursues a relationship with her.

The online entertainment website claimed that Matt Kemp is a "shy" guy and he isn't used to the attention that Khloe Kardashian and her family is getting from the Hollywood press.

Both the "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star and the L.A. Dodgers centerfielder have been spending a lot of time together especially after Khloe's separation from "cheating husband" Lamar Odom, who won a championship with the L.A. Lakers.

They were even spotted training together in a gym while Khloe Kardashian's family was spending the Christmas holidays in Aspen, Colorado. Reports also claim that he joined the annual Christmas Eve dinner hosted by the Jenner-Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner, in her Hidden Hills mansion.

After the dinner, both Matt and Khloe reportedly kissed before he headed for home. They also agreed to spend the New Year together.

But in a report by TMZ Sports, Matt Kemp insists that he and Khloe are just friends and the Kardashians "are good people."

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian is again back on speaking terms with her estranged husband after she filed for divorce earlier in December.

E! News reported that that both Khloe and Lamar Odom have been on contact through phone calls, "not a lot but every so often."

Quoting an insider, E! reported: "They are still working out some logistics and things are friendly between them. They will always have a deep affection for one another."

One of the contentious issues is putting on market their $4 million mansion in exclusive Tarzana, Los Angeles, the report added.
