The Sims 4 release date is expected to happen this fall 2014.

Now that 2014 is already here, it is most certain that more Sims 4 release date news will be revealed by the creator of the game.

And to start the year, a fresh Sims 4 release date news emerged online. As posted on SimsVIP, The Sims 4 Collector's Edition: Prima Official Game Guide has already been listed on the UK page of Amazon. Accordingly, the game is now available for pre-order.

However, it should be noted that the listing has not yet been officially confirmed yet by Prima Games, or the parent company, RandomHouse.

According to the listing, the Prima Official Game Guide for The Sims 4 will be available in both the Collector's Edition, which will arrive in Hardcover and the Standard edition in Paperback.

The book, as described on the Amazon listing page for the Prima Official Guide of The Sims 4: Collector's Edition, will feature:

• Hardcover with premium treatment and materials.

• Additional pages include Q&A, "Behind-The-Scenes' and "Making of" content with the game developers.

It should also be noted that the release dates for the Sims 4 Prima Official Guide are only provided as placeholders by Amazon, thus, it should not be regarded as the official launch schedule for the product.

EA formerly revealed that The Sims 4 release date will be slated at some point during the fall season of 2014. As for the system requirements, those gamers who are looking forward to grab the upcoming iteration of The Sims should be happy to know that they do not need to have a powerhouse PC just to be able to run the game.

As posted on International Business Times, citing Maxis, "The Sims 4" is designed to "run better on lower-end machines."

The post further reads, "It will use a new technology and no carryovers from the previous the SIMS series. SIMS 4 will offer a stylized reality, more details, smoother animations and runs better regardless of the specifications of the machine."
