Taylor Swift's Rhode Island construction is reportedly the subject of her neighbor's anger. The 24-year-old singer is currently constructing a sea wall just below her summer mansion in New England. Residents in the area describe Taylor Swift's Rhode Island construction as "tearing up the beach".

Apart from Taylor Swift's Rhode Island construction, the 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hit maker and her team are likewise accused of harassing people near her home so that they will help in cleaning up the beach.

"This is just the latest of all the things she's done to try to take over our beach since she moved in. She needs to realise that just because she bought a house overlooking the beach, she doesn't own it," claims one local to Radar Online.

According to journalist David Collins, the songstress has not acquired any permit to proceed with the rearrangement of the coastline. However, all the accusations appear to be misguided because one representative from the town's management finally cleared the air.

As opposed to what Swift's neighbors think, the rebuilding of the seawall outside her Westerly mansion is actually beneficial to the whole town. Permits were similarly obtained for the construction work.

Laura Dwyer, spokeswoman of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council, clarified the matter: "It all started during [Hurricane] Sandy. The wall sustained damage during Sandy."

Dwyer adds that the "permitted" construction is being done to replace the stone wall's unsafe rocks and further strengthen the existing rocks. The management likewise assures locals that they can still access the East Beach anytime despite the construction.

It might have been a rocky welcome for 2013's most charitable celebrity but it's never too late to acknowledge that she has nothing but love for Rhode Island.
