New Android Phones 2014: ZTE Announces 8 New Devices Including Grand S2, Iconic Phablet, Nubia 5S And 5S Mini, Limited Details Available

There are a bunch of new Android phones in 2014, and ZTE adds five more when it announced the Grand S2, Nubia 5s and 5s Mini, the Sonata 4G, and the Iconic Phablet.

In a report from GSM Arena, the Chinese manufacturer recently launched the four Droids, together with four more devices including a smartwatch, a projector hotspot, and a wireless homebase that's headed for AT&T.

The Grand S2 is clearly the top of the pack, though it is still unclear what it will pack inside. A few rumors claim a Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 5.5" screen with 1080p resolution, and a dual-SIM variation. Unfortunately, none of these specs is confirmed just yet and we may have to wait until next week for more information.

Meanwhile, the Nubia 5s and 5s Mini have screens which measure 5 inches and 4.7 inches respectively. Recent reports also claim that the processing power of both devices will be 'screaming fast', though no exact details has been disclosed just yet.

Apart from its huge 5.7" screen covered with the latest Gorilla Glass technology, most of the ZTE Iconic Phablet's specs have not been confirmed as well. Aside from a Snapdragon chipset of unknown version, the Droid is also said to feature Dolby Digital audio and wireless charging.

Last but certainly not the least is the Sonata 4G, which is an LTE device. It packs a 4" display, Snapdragon 400 SoC, dual-core CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, 1GB of RAM and 1,780mAh battery. It will be headed to Aio Wireless.

With CES just around the corner, we may expect more info on the other devices in the next few days.
