Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy Note 3 Lite Rumored To Get 720p Display, Downgraded Camera In Exchange For Cheaper Pricetag

It could very well be Samsung's plan to launch Android tablets in this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and announce its upcoming Samsung phones 2014 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

A recent report from GSM Arena almost confirms the launch of Samsung's newest Android slates because of a banner that is already on display in Vegas hours before the CES event.

Now, the more affordable version of its current phablet flagship, the Galaxy Note 3 Lite, could make an appearance at the MWC instead. In a report by BGR, a leaked XML file on the Korean manufacturer's website shows that the upcoming Samsung phone would boast just 720p resolution, in contrast to the Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution the current Note 3 has.

In addition, Samsung would also reportedly downgrade some specs, which would most likely include the processor, CPU, and camera. The Galaxy Note 3 Lite is rumored to be launched running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Fortunately, the cheaper Note 3 will still feature the S-Pen with full support in terms of apps and features.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S5 could also be announced during the MWC, it is also possible that Samsung unveils it in this week's event. Stay tuned for more updates.
