The Man of Steel sequel, still referred to as 'Batman Vs Superman', almost became a smorgasbord of heroes and villains with all the circulating rumors. The buck should stop somewhere and it is welcoming news to know that DC is exercising some prudence.

While rumors are fun, firing loose cannons with no target in sight will eventually tire out the readers. Confusion arose on whether this was still a Superman sequel or an outright Justice League movie.

Jett Ramey from the site Batman On Film addressed several questions regarding 'BvS' and we finally have the benefit of some substantial subtraction that can create a clearer vision of what the film will look like. Ramey has issued a disclaimer on his responses, but they are based on 'inside information.'

Some of the questions addressed: "Is Lex Luthor in BvS? Who is the other 'Superman villain' you've been hinting at?"

JR: "Yes. And sorry, I'm not at liberty to reveal the ID of the other villain at this time...but the character is highly rumored to be in the film."

"Is Jason Momoa Martian Manhunter in BvS? Or maybe Aquaman?"

JR: "Nope and nope. Neither of those characters are in this film."

While it is not officially confirmed by DC, Jason Momoa (like the Lex Luthor character) is widely accepted as a lock in the movie. The question up for discussion is the role he will play. Because of his strong and imposing physicality, he was immediately pictured as a villain, until The Hollywood Reporter suggested the Martian Manhunter. Based on this response though, the Justice League promoters should get a hold of themselves.

In the aforementioned Mailbag, Ramey also mentioned that it is STILL a Superman movie and the villains are limited to Superman's Rogue's Gallery. That clue doesn't narrow it down much since Superman has his share of buff rivals. However, the 'highly rumored' phrase places the odds in Doomsday's favor. Previous casting rumors have Doomsday on the radar for Jason Momoa's role.
