Johnny Depp and his girlfriend Amber Heard spent New Year's Eve with Johnny Depp's mother! Is this a sign that Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are getting engaged in 2014?

Johnny Depp was spotted with his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, and his girlfriend, Amber Heard, during New Year's Eve at Ago restaurant in West Hollywood. According to the Daily Mail, Johnny, Amber, and his mother were seen getting into a black SUV outside of the Italian restaurant.

Betty Sue was using an oxygen tank as she left Ago restaurant - Johnny is famously close to her, and even tattooed her name on his left arm. The Daily Mail reports that in 2012, Betty Sue was admitted to the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. However, her illness has not been made public.

Amber, 27, was wearing an all-black ensemble, with her blonde hair tied up in a bun. Johnny, 50, was wearing his trademark black beret, patterned scarf, and round sunglasses, as well as a black leather jacket.

We're happy to see Johnny introducing Amber to his mother, and spending the New Year's celebration with the both of them. Does this signify that Johnny and Amber are getting more serious? Will we see the two actors get engaged in 2014?

For Christmas this year, Johnny Depp reportedly bought his girlfriend Amber Heard a diamond set worth nearly $50,000, which we think is a sign of their growing relationship!

"He got her diamond drop earrings set in platinum - about two carats total," an eyewitness told Life & Style. "He said they were for Christmas."

"He also picked up a diamond pendant necklace," the source added.

Amber recently said in the December issue of Company Magazine that dating someone in the same industry can be beneficial, but also makes life difficult.

"It is really hard when you spend your life living out of a suitcase. But it really does weed out superficial people - if someone is still with you after the second movie then they're probably a good one! I like to trust people in general - it's the southern girl in me," Amber told the magazine.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been dating since April, but met in 2011 on the set of "The Rum Diary."
