Miley Cyrus ‘Wrecking Ball’ Penned For Beyonce, QueenBey Regrets Losing Out On 100 Million Views Vevo Record Act?

Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball was penned during Beyonce songwriting session, as revealed by the representatives of songwriter Sacha Skarbek. Not that it was written for the ‘Yonce singer and later given to Miley Cyrus.

As Independent.uk reports, the Sacha reps said in a statement to Radar, “Wrecking Ball” was not written for Beyoncé. Originally, the (song-writing session between Dr Luke and Sacha) was booked to write a song for Beyoncé . But as the song progressed, the songwriters realized the song would not work for her.”

In fact, according to PerezHilton, back in December 2012, Sacha Skarbek had tweeted, “Beyonce song now becoming a Miley Cyrus song?!! Good/bad? I don't know??!!!!,” sparking a lot of buzz around what is afoot.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ was released in August 2013 as the second single in Bangerz, Miley Cyrus’ fourth studio album. The video was released a couple of weeks later in September on Vevo and had the Hannah Montana star swinging naked on a ‘Wrecking Ball’ and licking a sledgehammer.

The video went on to record 100 million views on Vevo in no time, the fastest video till date to do so. It also holds the record for most number of views in 24 hours. The sex-appeal oozing song also brought a lot of critical acclaim for the Hannah Montana star and her singing talent.

Looking back on everything that the Wrecking Ball accomplished for its young singer, does QueenBey feel a tinge of regret at having lost a chance to garner oodles of popularity and limelight, along with a few hundred thousand dollars?

Doesn’t seem likely, given that Beyonce’s fifth self-titled album reached platinum mark under just a month from its date of release. Not to forget the entirely visual album has ‘Drunk in Love’ QueenBey at her sexiest best, showing off her post-baby body jamming to some of her the best singles from the album.
