Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: 5 Handsets We Expect From The Finnish Manufacturer Before It Gets Bought By Microsoft

In case you haven't read it yet, Nokia's mobile department would soon be bought by Microsoft, and before that happens, the Finnish manufacturer still wants to launch upcoming Nokia phones in 2014 for its loyal fans.

In the past several weeks, we have heard a number of rumors about upcoming Nokia phones. The manufacturer is certainly trying to catch up to all deadlines possible in order to release these devices before they are acquired by the Redmond giant. Here are 5 smartphones we know that will be making their debut any time this quarter.

1. Nokia Moneypenny

As among the most popular in the list, the Moneypenny is rumored to be launched with Windows Phone 8.1, and dual-SIM support. Some reports also claim that there will be two versions of the handset, depending on the market where it would be released.

2. Nokia Goldfinger

Together with Moneypenny, Goldfinger is one of two upcoming Nokia handsets that got their aliases from previous James Bond movies. What we know about this Nokia phone is that it would boast some kind of 3D touch technology, which means user touch is not required in order to make commands and perform tasks.

3. Nokia Lumia 929

Dubbed as the Nokia Icon, the Lumia 929 has recently been leaked in several images. It is rumored to feature a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU for top-notch gaming performance, 20MP PureView camera, 32GB internal storage, and a 2,510mAh battery.

4. Nokia Lumia 1820

According to reports from Valuewalk, the Lumia 1820 will be a handset that is primarily focused on photography and would replace the 1020 which was released last year. Rumored to be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this Nokia handset allegedly packs a metal unibody chassis.

5. Nokia Normandy

Last, but certainly not the least is the rumored Nokia Android phone Normandy. In the past few months, there have been conflicting reports that Microsoft have allowed Nokia to develop the phone. We just hope the Finnish manufacturer would be able to launch the device before it succumbs to its future buyer.
