The 'Thor 3' rumors begin. The Marvel brass keep saying a sequel is dependent on the success of "The Dark World" and $ 690 million later, we will have 'Thor 3' and possibly a 'Loki' spinoff feature.

The ambiguous title of the new short film feature, called Marvel One-shots, in "Thor: The Dark World" DVD and Blu-Ray has sparked off speculation. "All Hail The King" could refer to the Black Panther (king of Wakanda) or the 'real' Mandarin (he was somewhat a 'king' in China with the goal of world conquest) or the new Asgardian king..Loki.

GeekTyrant was the first to unravel the title of the Marvel One-shot through its sleuthing skills: "Thanks to the British Board of Film Classification we have a list of the special features that will be included in the DVD and Blu-ray release of Marvel's Thor: The Dark World. One of those features is a Marvel One-Shot called "All Hail The King." There's no details on the short, but it might be the one that Ben Kingsley shot that focuses on the real Mandarin. Or maybe, it will focus on Loki as the king of Asgard?"

There are many 'kings' in the Marvel Universe, counting out all the franchises that are owned by different studios (ex. Victor Von Doom) and narrowing it down to the ones rumored/alluded by Kevin Feige, Stan Lee and others, Screenrant examines the odds: "As much as we'd love to see Black Panther get some love, it's simply not in the cards at this point in time with what Marvel Studios has planned for Phase 2 and 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Another character mentioned by our own readers is Black Bolt, leader of The Inhumans - one of the likeliest new franchises Marvel could adapt into a film in Phase 3 as well. 2014 would be too early to introduce him."

The best bet, according to MTV is Loki. For reasons outside the comics world-popularity, marketing potential, right up MTV's alley: "The Loki twist certainly sets things up for another epic "Thor" sequel, or even a third "Avengers" film, once Thanos and his minions are pulled into the mix. But fans want Loki sooner than that. They want him now, actually, in a movie all his own, if the online petition for a "Loki" solo movie is any indication. It makes sense for Marvel to give fans what they want, albeit in a smaller capacity than a full-length feature-film. A short movie all about Loki, focusing on his new reign as Asgard's king, will whet some of those fans' appetites, if only for a time."

That's a lot of anticipation for a short film. However, with Marvel, everything is connected, even the smaller links. And we all want to see the entire chain.
