Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: 5.2" Droid Sony Sirius Rumored To Be Unveiled At MWC, Initially Coming To Verizon In The US

In case you are searching for upcoming Sony phones 2014, you may be disappointed to find out that only the Xperia Z1 Compact and T-Mobile-bound Xperia Z1s have been announced during the company's press conference at the CES event in Las Vegas.

However, a new rumor claims that the upcoming Sony flagship, dubbed Sirius, would see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona instead.

In a tweet by notorious leakster EV Leaks, the Android handset would reportedly make its way into the list of anticipated releases en route to MWC 2014.

According to recent rumors about the specs of the Sony Sirius, it would boast a 5.2-inch display which probably has 2K (2,560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 800 or 805 depending on the variant, 3GB of RAM, a 20.7MP Sony G Lens snapper at the back, and a hefty 3,500mAh battery.

Other reports also claim that the Sony Sirius would come first to Verizon Wireless in the US, though an international edition is highly possible as well.

Of course, we should all take these rumors with a grain of salt until the Japanese manufacturer itself makes the announcement.
