Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update Now Rolling Out To Motorola Moto G, Brings New Hangouts App, Better Performance, Full Screen Mode

Under three months after it was released, the newest version of Android already has two updates, but these have only been released in Nexus devices.

Not anymore.

Motorola's Moto G midrange handset has just received the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, which makes it a more valuable smartphone for entry-level users and platform switchers.

In the report by GSM Arena, the Moto G Droid will get the new Hangouts application, a boost in performance and security features, and would be able to use the Full Screen Mode.

At only $180, the Moto G is definitely the smartphone that will get the most bang for your buck. It seems there are really benefits for companies which are owned by Google.

In the report, if your Moto G does not automatically prompt the update, you can run the update check manually.
