Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Asus Launches Zenfone With 6" Display, Two Intel Atom Cores, 2GB Of RAM, 13MP Camera, All For $199

In case you have been wondering if there are cheap upcoming Android phones in 2014 which were announced in CES, then you're in for a treat.

During Asus' press event, the Taiwanese manufacturer unleashed a number of sleek devices, including the dual-booting Transformer Book Duet. However, the company also announced a number of Zenfones which would certainly appeal to the budget-conscious consumer.

The biggest among the Zenfones is the Zenfone 6, which as you may have guessed, packs a 6-inch IPS display with 720p resolution. While the screen specs may seem outdated, it still looks decent in its own right. However, that's not the only feature the Android phone has to offer.

Under the hood lies two Intel Atom Z2580 cores, each capable of hyper-threading and are clocked at 2GHz each. While we haven't tested yet whether this will deliver similar or better performance than other CPUs in the market, the hyper-threading feature certainly looks promising.

In addition, the Zenfone 6 also boasts 2GB of RAM, a 13MP Panasonic SmartFSI rear camera, 2MP of front camera, an option for 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, a long-lasting 3,200mAh battery, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and dual-SIM support.

With all these juicy details and features, it is certainly surprising that the Zenfone 6 only costs $199 off-contract. Stay tuned for more details regarding availability or carrier support.
