NBA Trade Rumors - Jimmer Fredette Offered By Sacramento Kings For Andre Miller; Two Other Options On The Table For Denver

Some NBA Trade Rumors are progressing. The Sacramento Kings are reportedly offering Jimmer Freddette for Andre Miller. If it is a real offer, the Nuggets should take it.
The first credited report for this news is Ken Berger from CBS Sports:
“The Kings have offered Marcus Thornton and a future second-round pick as the framework of a deal for Miller, and have presented a package includingJimmer Fredette and a future second as an alternative, two people familiar with the scenarios said Wednesday. Those people familiar with the terms of those offers did not know the third scenario presented by Sacramento, but executives gathered here for the D-League Showcase surmised that it likely involves forward Jason Thompson.”
Apparently, the Kings have placed Marcus Thornton ahead of rookie Ben McLemore in the rotation only to increase his trade value. The Kings stick to the plan of building around DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Ben McLemore and perhaps Rudy Gay if they can keep him. All trades that they make relate to those players.
From the Nuggets perspective, it is hard to refuse this trade. Jimmer Fredette is a young, scoring machine that could perform better in a new system.
The question on most Kings fans’ collective mind is why their team seems so keen on acquiring a 37 year old, disgruntled point guard. The idea that he could serve as a mentor is not too convincing.

Bleacher Report argues that case: “Miller, the owner of one of the most historically underrated careers, is a fantastic floor general in the term's most literal sense, and he could help Thomas out there. Well, assuming he gets along with the coaching staff.
But beyond that, he doesn't offer much, and his contract isn't an expiring one.”
From Shamsports.com, Miller is under contract for $4,625,000 next season, but only $2 million of that is guaranteed.
