‘Glee’ Star Divorce Settlement Is Amicable? Jane Lynch Free From Costly Spousal Support Of Psychologist Wife?

'Glee' star Jane Lynch, who plays the ever fiery coach of Sue Sylvester on the hit series, was quite civil during the settlement of her divorce case with former wife, psychologist Dr. Lara Embry.

According to TMZ, Embry wanted Lynch to pay about $93,000 in spousal support each month and although she didn't get nearly that much amount, she still received something.

The report said that Lynch was getting the house so she has to fork over some money in return.

Lynch and Embry were married in 2010 but filed for divorce in July 2013, claiming "irreconcilable differences." They also reportedly did not sign any prenuptial agreement which could have been problematic in splitting all their marital assets.

TMZ said that that settlement case was so civil that both Lynch and Embry have taken on spending time with each other and some friends during the recent holidays.

Lynch, 52, filed the petition to dissolve her marriage with Embry, 44, before the L.A. County Court. They met during a fundraiser in San Francisco and were married in Massachusetts. They registered with California to certify their domestic partnership.

Prior to the 'Glee' star's divorce docs, Lynch and Embry have already been living separately since February of last year.

In July, Lynch told "Larry King Now" that they just decided that they are better persons apart than being together. But she said that divorce doesn't mean that they stop communicating altogether because of what they meant to each other.

"We have to remain adults, which we have. We keep everybody -- especially Haden's -- good in our mind," she said, referring to Embry's daughter with a previous marriage.

In the statement sent to media outlets announcing the 'Glee' star's divorce, Lynch said:

'Lara and I have decided to end our marriage,' she wrote in a statement. 'This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.'
