Kelly Osbourne and vegan chef Matthew Mosshart broke off their engagement after two years of being together.

In a statement sent to the Us magazine, the rep for Osbourne said: "Kelly Osbourne and Matthew Mosshart have decided to end their engagement. The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another. Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings."

The rep said that Osbourne and Mosshart will give "no further comments" and that the former couple "request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don't expect it."

According to E! Online, the "Fashion Police" star and the chef were last snapped together at the amFAR Inspiration Gala in Hollywood on Dec. 12 last year. They met in 2011 at the wedding of supermodel Kate Moss. He proposed to her in July 2013.

On January 8, Kelly Osbourne hinted that her engagement is off when she tweeted: "its all about perception sometimes the bad things that happen in life aren't really bad at all especially when you learn something from it!"

The announcement over their split was surprising considering that the pair even spent the holidays together. Osbourne even posted on Instagram a photo of herself and her then fiance in their Christmas jumpers.

The photo also came with the caption: "I came home from a 12 hour day to find a home cooked meal, clean house & fresh sheets on my bed #WhenMenGetItRightTheyGetItRight #TrueLove!! (sic)"

This was Kelly Osbourne's second engagement that didn't end up in marriage for Osbourne. She was previously engaged to model Luke Worrall in 2009 but they split in 2010.

The former couple reportedly planned a traditional wedding in Buckinghamshire, with her parents mansion as the setting. According to Daily Mail, Osbourne wanted to go back to her British roots and even planned on raising their kids in England so they won't develop an American accent.
