Who will take home the award for best actor in a TV drama series?

As the Washington Post speculates, odds are that Bryan Cranston will win the award for best actor - that finale was just too darn good. However, Spacey has portrayed a fantastic character on the addictive "House of Cards."

The contenders for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards best actress in a TV drama series are: Julianna Margulies, "The Good Wife" (CBS); Tatiana Maslany, "Orphan Black" (BBC America); Taylor Schilling, "Orange Is the New Black" (Netflix); Kerry Washington, "Scandal" (ABC); Robin Wright, "House of Cards" (Netflix).

We're siding with the Washington Post once again and think that Kerry Washington is the most likely to take home this award for best actress in a TV drama series. Even though she didn't take home an Emmy, she has created a lot of buzz recently in "Scandal." Hopefully the Golden Globes will recognize that.

However, the Washington Post believes that Taylor Schilling in "Orange Is the New Black" deserves an award. Another particular favorites of ours is Tatiana Maslany on "Orphan Black" - this actress plays six characters on the show! And as the Washington Post reports, "The HFPA loves to recognize young, talented ingénues" - sounds like Maslany may have a shot.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are returning to host the 2014 Golden Globes ceremony. The 71st Golden Globe Awards, which honor the best in film and American television of 2013, will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on January 12, 2014.
