The rumors of Kris Jenner and Olympian Bruce Jenner headed to divorce seems to be more unlikely after the Kardashian matriarch did not mention filing papers while discussing their separation on the January 9 episode of the TODAY show.

"We had been living apart. Bruce was living in Malibu, so I think [we decided] to just come out and say it formally to everybody at the same time," Jenner told host Carson Daly, while promoting the season nine of the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

The couple announced their split in October 2013 after 22 years of marriage. They didn't specifically cite the reason for the separation; however, rumors keep hounding them regarding her playing around with a younger man and Bruce playing around with his remote-controlled toy helicopters.

According to Radar Online, Kris has been dating "The Bachelor" star Ben Flajnik off and off after sparks few during their first meeting on her self-titled show "Kris" in July last year. Daily Mail also reported about Bruce's supposed obsession with toy choppers which caused a strain in their marriage particularly when Kim Kardashian moved into Kris' mansion with baby daughter, North West.

These reports were then taken into context that Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner may be getting divorce.

"We're best friends. I mean, we talk all the time. Right now we're happier the way that we are right now," she added.

Kris Jenner said, however, that despite her separation from Bruce Jenner, divorce is still unlikely to happen. For now, she takes solace on the support of her family. "There's a lot of love, a lot of support so I think the decisions that we make individually we always seem to come together as a family at the end of the day."

Just before Christmas last year, Kris basically confirmed that divorce is unlikely when she told People that she now gets excited when Bruce is coming over to her house.

"We're great. He's great and I'm great and we're such good friends. Sometimes people are just better apart and have better energy," she told the magazine.
