‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast Rumors - Jason Momoa As Aquaman Rumors Persist Despite Denial; ‘Conan’ Actor May Appear In Justice League Movie?

'Batman Vs Superman' was the king of the rumor mill for the past couple of weeks. Even denials are not taken at face value. Jason Momoa has already denied involvement with the 'Batman Vs Superman' movie but the new rumor about the Justice League ignited his involvement.

The cat-and-mouse game between the scoop sites and the movie studios used to be fun and thrilling, but it can get out of hand. Jason Momoa has already issued a denial from the 'Batman Vs Superman' movie due to insistent reports linking him to the film. However, the scoop sleuths do not believe him, and the denial is only about the Batman Vs Superman movie.

If the rumors about the Justice League shooting back to back with Batman Vs Superman hold true, then all the casting calls and rumors would make sense. As explained by Bad Ass Digest:

"This makes a lot of sense and puts a lot of things into perspective. It definitely helps us understand why there are so many character names being thrown around for Batman vs Superman. I was recently told by a very, very trusted source that the role Jason Momoa was up for (but is currently denying) is definitely Aquaman, but it's essentially a cameo setting up the next movie. Momoa's denials today could just be a smokescreen intended to protect the surprise nature of the cameo, although if the films are shooting back-to-back we'll know soon enough."

The rumor has to be taken with a grain of salt, as usual. Quoting unnamed sources is a normal practice, and they have no accountability when the rumor turns out false. However, if it does hold water, they can declare that as a scoop.

In any case, Momoa as Aquaman is a slight deviation from the very white and blonde Arthur Curry from the comics. This is supposedly in line with DC's desire to diversify the race of their heroes.
