As "Once Upon a Time" season 3 continue its long hiatus, spoilers have surfaced regarding a few returning characters.

Firstly, spoilers confirm Rose McGowan will return as young Cora, despite the character being dead on the series.

According to EW, young Cora will return during "Once Upon a Time" season 3 episode 18, though what pivotal role she will play remains to be seen.

With a host of new character popping up in the season, including Lumiere, Blackbeard, and Rapunzel, could Cora have a history with a newcomer to "Once Upon a Time?" The Wicked Witch certainly seems like a possibility!

But Rose McGowan won't be alone to return to "Once Upon a Time" season 3.

Spoilers also confirm that JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Ariel will return once season 3 comes back from hiatus.

"Ariel's coming back, and I may have found my prince charming, but I think that you might need a little naïve mermaid to come back in town, maybe stir up some business," teases Swisher during an interview with E! Online.

Swisher also "promises" that Storybrooke is truly gone, though this reporter thinks it's with a wink and a smile in mind.

The mid-season premiere will be an Emma-centric episode titled "New York City Serenade," and will introduce a new form of narrative on the series.

Co-creator Adam Horowitz told TVLine that what lies ahead is "a compelling new mode of storytelling...and exciting new variation on things we've done before."

More importantly, who will die before "Once Upon a Time" season 3 ends?!
