Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes' break up is now confirmed, after the "Baby I" singer opened up about her split from her The Wanted ex boyfriend. Ariana Grande assured fans that she is still "really good friends" with Nathan Sykes despite their break up.

"Oh we broke up a little while ago, but he's a really good friend," Ariana Grande revealed about Nathan Sykes, in an interview with Showbiz Shelly backstage at the Grammys, J-14 magazine reports.

"He's so talented and I'm so glad to have met him and to have a friend like him in my life. He's an amazing person. It was very civil - it was mutual," Ariana added.

While we originally thought Nathan had flown to Los Angeles to secretly visit Ariana, it looks like he might have gone for other reasons or seen her just as a friend after their break up a "while ago."

Yet Ariana and Nathan don't seem to harbor any hard feelings after their split. Their recent Twitter posts hint that they're happier than ever, even apart.

Ariana tweeted last Tuesday: "I'm a fool for you."

Nathan wrote on his Twitter at the end of the week before: "Dancing around to the radio "because I'm happyyyyyyyyy"".

J-14 Magazine reports that Nathan and Ariana, both 20, confirmed they were dating in September of last year, and made their relationship public. Ariana even said Nathan was her first true love. But in December reports surfaced that the two had split, due to their difficult long-distance relationship. Neither Ariana nor Nathan commented on their break up before this, but they haven't been photographed together since before the holiday season.
