Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Release Date: New Midrange Droid Now Available, Specs Include 5" Display, Quad-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, Costs Only $355

For several months now, there has been rumors of an upcoming Samsung phone that will be the successor of the manufacturer's Galaxy Grand lineup. And after many weeks of speculation, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo release date is finally here as the Korean company launches the device.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the phone has recently been seen in a Dutch retailer and costs €260 or around $355. This means the device may soon be available for the international market.

Like other handsets in the Galaxy Grand family, the new Android-powered device boasts midrange specs including a 5-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution, a quad-core A7 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel primary camera and a VGA front facer.

The Galaxy Grand Neo also packs a 8GB internal memory, the usual connectivity options such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, though there is no 4G LTE support on board.

Other notable specs include a microSD card slot, a decent 2,100mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Samsung hasn't stopped its strategy of releasing a flurry of handsets which have different spec sheets and fall in different categories, and the Galaxy Grand Neo is a great example of how it's done.

So, are you rooting for this midrange droid?
