Sunderland will face off against rival Hull City on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Sunderland, coming out of a 3-0 win over Fulham, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

Sunderland Manager Gus Poyet said Sunderland ace Adam Johnson must keep up great form, The Shields Gazette reports.

"We know how important it was for Adam to perform, and show what he can do," Poyet said, according to the site.

"Without doubt, he was the player of the month, so hopefully he can win another one and get us safe."

Hull City, coming out of a 1-1 tie with the Tottenham Hotspurs, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Hull City Manager Steve Bruce said he is ready for Sunderland's hostility, SkySports.com reports.

"The players are the most important thing for me. They've got to handle the occasion and the atmosphere," he said, according to the site.

"If all the focus is on me, the players can just go out and do their jobs. It can work like that."
